Almuñécar welcomed the new year in true European style, with the new year’s concert. Svilen Simeonov conducting the Strauss Festival Orchestra and a performance by the Bulgarian mezzo-soprano Zvetelina Maldjanska.
The orchestra was accompanied by the Strauss Festival Dance Ensemble ballet that brought the music to life. Waltzes, polkas and marches for almost two hours.
